A relaxed luxury villa in Marrakech called Dar Moulouya. Situated 20 minutes from the Grand Place, this private getaway is surrounded by a large, mature garden and has incredible views of the Atlas mountains. 

Situated in the Ourika Valley, which spreads between the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and the city. Despite being so close to Marrakech, this beautiful green valley is definitely one of the best preserved in Morocco.

The villa's grounds has amazing open spaces perfect for rolling out the mat and practising yoga and meditation with a brilliant pool and cosy outdoor seating for 1 on 1 coaching. 

Dar Moulouya is only 20 minutes from the bustling Medina of Marrakech but is utterly peaceful. Its large garden is spectacularly planted with a thousand roses, bougainvillea, olive, pomegranate and banana trees.

Why our retreat?

Our retreats are all about the individual. We aim to create a tranquil and loving environment where you can switch off and escape from hectic modern life back home, and just concentrate on being truly present while focusing on your health and happiness.

Throughout this time you will learn sustainable tools and healthier habits to take back home with you so your health journey continues, and doesn't just stop when you fly home. It's also a precious time to reflect on what may or may not be working for you back home and to realign yourself with your goals. We may even encourage you to hand in your phone for majority of the day so you can truly gain back control over your device and social media.

The yoga and meditation practise is a brilliant opportunity to deepen your practise on the mat and leave feeling energised, strong and centred. The meditation is a fantastic tool that we hope you implement into your morning routine when you return home.

There will be lots of opportunity to take part in group workshops, coaching, activities and yoga classes but ultimately you do what you want (we encourage ‘me’ time). Enjoy the local, fresh produce prepared by the resident chef in a beautiful authentic setting with like minded people.

The coaching with Milla Lascelles

Milla is a health and lifestyle coach based in London, guiding and supporting families and individuals to reach their health goals and make lasting, sustainable changes to their health and happiness. She works with her clients on a carefully tailored Tired to Transformed 6 or 12 week programme or offers a Luxury Transformational Day, designed for the busy both men and women flat out juggling household, family and work. She’ll even go through your larder or take you to your local supermarket and teach you how to be a food detective - sleuthing secret sugars, understanding labels and resisting the supermarket deduction. Milla is passionate about teaching her clients the importance of Primary Nutrition being your relationships (with others and most importantly yourself), career, physical exercise and spirituality before Secondary Nutrition being the food on your plate. She works on getting to the root cause of the problem rather than treating the root cause as to why you may be stuck in the same dysfunctional patters or perhaps self sabotaging.

The Yoga with Minnie Samengo-Turner 

Minnie has trained with some of the top teachers worldwide and is 300hrs qualified with The Yoga People and Sampoorna Yoga, Goa in Asthanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Find her at one of London's top gym, Core Collective, whilst also teaching at numerous studios around London. Minnie is passionate about a playful and explorative practice to help build strength, increase flexibility and de-stress! Her focus on breath work allows you to deepen your practice and explore places you might not have been before within your body, whilst helping you to connect back to yourself. Her aim is to create a relaxing haven away from the stresses of the outside world. Here you can switch off, press pause and start to connect back to yourself and your bodies, taking this time for you! She creates a super friendly, non judgemental environment with different variations for all levels, pushing yourself if you want, but most importantly encouraging you to listen to your body. Expect enjoyable and playful classes where you will be challenged but most importantly – have fun!

So what would a daily itinerary look like? 

8am: Fresh Juice and snack

8.30 - 10am: Dynamic Yoga with optional meditation after 

10.30am Breakfast/Brunch

Free time/Massages/ Explore the local area/Sunbathe/Journal

WORKSHOPS: During the week there will be 2 workshops with Milla and 1 yoga workshop with Minnie.

COACHING: private 1 2 1 

5.30 -7pm: Yin Yoga

7.30pm: Supper

Is it weird if I come on my own? 

No! It’s ok to come on your own, most people do. This is the perfect chance to immerse yourself in your surroundings and the support around you to take time for yourself. You will be in a safe and secure environment with like minded people where people tend to make great friendships. We will create a supportive environment so it feels like a home away from home.

Why only two meals? 

We have found that one large breakfast/brunch and a large supper with a small snack at 4pm is more than enough food especially if you're keeping sufficiently hydrated and chewing your food (which is something we'll cover). If you ever are hungry, we have a fridge full of healthy snacks.

Do I have to take part in every single activity? 

Not at all. This is your time for total chill and reflection on your health goals and where you want to be and feel when you leave. Like anything, the more you put in at the retreat the more you will get out but we do encourage to take time out to chill, read, nap, swim and walk.

To secure your space we require a non refundable 30% deposit, a confirmation email will follow shortly. The remaining balance is due no later than 10 weeks before the beginning of the retreat (6th August 2018). Cancellations are non-refundable unless your space can be filled.
